The inspiration for Zhuojiu's design comes from the "axe," a symbol of power. The design team used this concept to express the spirit of Chinese liquor drinking. The bottle's shape is reminiscent of an axe, while the box, made of wood, appears as if split by the axe. This design choice communicates the fiery taste of the Chinese liquor with rigidity and destructive power.

Zhuojiu stands out for its unique properties. The name "Zhuo (Drinking)" originates from the poem "Drinking Alone under the Moon" by the ancient Chinese poet Li Bai. The design team skillfully integrated "hard" and "soft" elements into the axe and mountains and trees, creating an ethereal beauty that allows people to imagine the flavor of the Chinese liquor at a glance.

The realization of Zhuojiu involved a sustainable approach. The container is made of glass, while the outer packaging is cut from raw wood. The design team avoided the use of printing processes on boxes and bottles, opting instead for charcoal engraving for the main product names. This approach aligns with the project's environmental protection concept of no process and no pollution.

The design process for Zhuojiu was not without its challenges. Initially, the team faced difficulties in assembling waste wood into boxes. However, they overcame this hurdle by reaching an agreement with a wood factory. The project, which started in Shenzhen in March 2022, was completed in August 2022 and exhibited in Shenzhen the same month.

Zhuojiu's design is a testament to Shenzhen Jinjia New Smart-pkg Co., Ltd's commitment to innovation and sustainability. The design, which won the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2023, is a testament to the company's innovative approach to design and sustainability.
